Scandalous Free-Agency Gate??? Did Steve Masciarelli really wake up and claim a player at 3:17am?  Should such tom-foolery be allowed?  ESPN states that players can be selected anytime after 4am on Tues. morning (after the Monday night game has officially ended the week of football).  So Steve finds a loophole and exploits it.  To this I say, good for him.  He's got kids, he knows how to operate on limited sleep...if it makes him feel better about his team to wake up at 3am...I call that heart.  That's passion for his computerized squad.

We have finished 6 weeks in the NFL, and in the Ahern Fantasy Football League, there have been 5 different people who have taken the crown as the high scorer for the week.  Currently, Mr. Mash stands atop the leader board with only one loss this season, but the standings are tight, and everyone is still very much alive in fighting for the championship.  Due to the competitive nature, some trashtalking* has begun.  Verbal assaults have come from a variety of places.  Women, have not been exempt from this age-old practice.

*Trashtalking, or talking smack about another player's team, is perfectly legal and encouraged.  If you are overly sensitive to these kinds of verbal slams, perhaps you should back out of the league.

There is a lot of parity in the league this year.  Through 4 weeks, we've had 4 different high scorers.  The 5th week brough us the first repeat winner, yours truly.  I won't brag, but I feel good about my team.  I play Maconi next week and Win or Lose, I will find a way to push his buttons.  I will then run downstairs and let Scharman and Dan handle the fallout.  That's one of the perks of teaching on the first floor.

Week 3

Vogelgesang went from the high score to the low score in one week...Dismal showing.  High scorer for the week was Steve.  Three weeks in we have had 3 different people get the high score for the week.  There's a lot of parity amongst the teams. Team Crehan Tiano remain the only undefeated squad, but how long can that last?

Week 2 is in the books, and Colin was the high scorer for the week.  Week 3 will put him against the Crehan/Tiano combination...the two remaining undefeated teams.  Only one will remain after this week!  This week has also shown us our first deal of the year.  Schleicher and Gill consumated a 2 for 1 swap.  Go to the poll on the right to vote on whether or not you think this deal was a good one for both parties.

Week 1

Welcome to the Fantasy Football Blog Spot!

Week one is in the books!  It looks like it's going to be an exciting season.  Will Mr. Scharman's team be as good as he thinks it is?  Will Noone be able to hold off making a deal until Week 3?  Will Colin and Schleicher continue to battle for the transaction crown?  Stay tuned to find out!
